Let your child discover the joy of painting with watercolours in this fun and creative Kids Watercolour birds Workshop at Dawn’s Atelier in Upper Hutt. Designed especially for young artists, this beginner-friendly art workshop introduces children to watercolour painting while celebrating one of New Zealand’s much-loved native birds 

During this 1-hour kids’ art class, each child will receive a sheet of quality Bristol Smooth paper with a pīwakawaka outline prepared by Dawn. This gives children the confidence to focus on learning colour, watercolour techniques and painting rather than worrying about drawing the bird from scratch.

Children will use watercolours to bring their native New Zealand bird artwork to life, experimenting with colour and brushwork in a relaxed and supportive creative environment.
